Introducing the "Temples of Clean Air", - by Daan Roosegard, Beijing - where people take their children to play in clean air.
This is a capsule of fresh air, it is precious, a gift perhaps given between, family, friends, or lovers.
Clean air is now bottled and sold globally. The canisters last just over a minute and retail from between £19 and £80.
"The Most Precious Thing I Could Give You" is a further development within a collection I made for a self-led group exhibition entitled ‘SMOG’, shown and supported by The Royal College of Art(RCA) and The Arthill Gallery, London in March 2018.
SMOG, was the reaction and result of a field trip I won a place on, during my Masters led by The Royal College
of Art, to Shanghai in November 2017, the title investigated the ideas surrounding the phenomena of smog; a cerebral smog of words, understanding, culture, a metaphorical smog, a physical smog.
The capsule is of little value in real life saving terms but intent of the sentiment implied is high.
